Outreach Services
Chambers County Library System values service and outreach to the county’s many communities. Whether it be visits to assisted living facilities, local schools, faith-based organizations, or other community events, Chambers County Library System brings library services where you may least expect them.
Outreach Services can:
- Deliver materials to elderly or homebound residents (Anahuac area only). If you are unable to come to the library in person, our Books on Wheels service will deliver materials directly to you at no charge. Borrow books, magazines, DVDs, audiobooks, and more. Deliveries are made on Tuesdays every 2 weeks. To sign up, call the Chambers County Library in Anahuac at 409-267-2554, or apply online here. You can also apply by mail.
- If you are a business, community leader, neighborhood association, church, school administrator, or community organization, please invite us to speak to your group. A library staff member will present about free library services tailored to the specific needs and interests of their audience.
- Upon request, library staff will visit assisted living/rehab facilities and drop off books, DVDs, or other materials as requested.
