How to get a library card

Library cards are provided to our patrons free of charge. To sign up for a card, new applicants must be at least 16 years of age, and they must have valid photo identification. A driver's license or TDL identification card are preferred, but a passport, military i.d., student i.d., or work badge photo i.d. are acceptable, provided they have a name on the badge with the photo. An additional item, such as a social security card is needed with alternate photo items. People living in a household who have no legal kinship must get separate cards.

How to get a long term loan card

Long-term loans may be made for classroom use, day care centers, or similar sites. Loan periods correspond to the school grading quarters; borrowing in the middle of the period results in a shorter loan term. Loans are thus made for a maximum of 9 weeks.

How to renew a book

Renewing items is an easy process, if a cardholder needs more time to finish using an item. Patrons can renew items for two additional loan periods, and renewals can be made in person, online or over the phone. To renew online you must log into your library account. If you have problems accessing your account contact the library for assistance. If materials are already overdue at the time of renewal, late fees will be assessed and placed on the patron record, to be paid the next time the patron visits the library.

How to reserve a book

If the libraries have a book that you wish to read but it is not on the shelf, you may place a reserve for the item. It will be held for you for a 7 days after you are contacted to pick it up at your branch.
